Doggie Love: Introducing Schroeder!

Hey yall...I have been dying to tell you guys that I finally got another dog yesterday! I know I said I wanted a Boston Terrier puppy for my birthday but this is even better :D Schroeder was originally given up by his owners and my boss took him in. Due to some circumstances she's choosing to down-size her doggie pack so she let me have him. I have wanted Schroeder ever since I dog sat him for her a little while ago and I'm so glad it worked out that I me and the boy will get to have him! The boy loves him (he calls him "Schrodo") and Bebe loves him too. She already knew him from daycare so it just worked out perfectly :D

I think he's a rat terrier mixed with a black pomeranian, but there's no telling what he is :P We think he's a cat trapped in a dogs body haha! He is very cat like when he plays and it's SO cute! He's just a bit bigger than Bebe. She's about 16 lbs and he's about 20. He's taller too :) He's a very good little dog and he's been a lot of fun so far!

RAWRRRRR!
I love him so...

Cool Kids Support Local!

The boy and I went to Shangri-La Records in midtown today! I've been here once before and I love sifting through all the records. I spent most of my time looking for random and/or unique covers. I wanted to buy so many records based on their cover alone!

two of my favorite covers:
I didn't end up buying these but I might if they're still there next time :)

I ended up buying the record " Make it Big" with sexy George Michael on the cover. (& yes I love Wham like a mother.) I got two other records that I'm going to share in another post soon!

OK, enough about my adventure, now it's your turn ;) If you can't find a record shop in your area, try to find a video store, book store, or something similar. Also, if you don't find anything you want to buy, don't worry about it! As long as you get out there and find the store you're good. Remember: the deadline is next Wednesday!

I can't wait to see where you guys go!

I Sooooooo Need This Shirt!

because I'm:

Guess what, guess what, guess what!!!?? We found the BEST house  EVERRRRRRRR and we're moving away from my crazy landlord, YAY! We will start moving around the 1st of December or so and hope to be settled in by the 15th. We have a month to be out of our current place so we are doing it all gradually. So I may be a little sporadic with my blogging over the next few weeks. I'll post when I can but we've got so much to do that I'm not making any promises ;) Also, my holiday giveaway is postponed :( I'm hoping to do it before Xmas, but I won't guarantee that either. I'll keep you updated because you won't want to miss it!

Anywho, the new place is a few streets over from where we live now and it has everything we want and more. I'll have the craft room of my dreams and the boy will have his very own work shop outside. He's calling it his "man cave" haha! We also have a huuuge backyard with a gazebo (which has a stone fire pit grill inside it too! omg omg omg) So you know what that means right!? PAR-TTTTTTAAAAAAYY BITCHEESSSSSSSS! LOL! I can't wait to have people over. (We never have anyone over now because of our landlord and her craziness).

I'll have pictures of  our new place soooooon. ♥

(hey. psssst. if you haven't followed our landlord drama, click here to catch up.)

Mad Mondays: The Hiatus Begins...

I love this picture

Because the season finale was last night! Did you watch?? All I can say is WOW, lol. (I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.) Mad Mondays will return in mid 2010 so if you've want to catch up for season 4, you can rent seasons 1-3 or watch past episodes on online. I guarantee you'll be hooked ;)

In other news...
Google celebrates Sesame St 40th anniversary
Is anyone else REALLY enjoying Google's celebration of Sesame Street's 40th anniversary as much as me?? My favorite Google doodle so far has been Cookie Monster! I found this site that's keeping track of all the different designs and even shares the international characters too! (See the colorful cousin to Big Bird @ the top? That's Aberlado of Mexico's Plaza Sesamo - I didn't know he existed but I love him!)

Anywho, I am feeling much better! Thanks to everyone for your get better wishes :) I went to Gary and Elizabeth's wedding last night and it was awesome. I broke down and cried HARD when they did their first dance haha...they didn't do a slow dance, but a funky boogie and to see two people looking so happy really touched me. When I met Gary (almost 5 or 6 years ago) he was going through a crazy rough time and to see grow and him flourish is inspiring. He is so different now, but he's maintained his awesome personality that draws everyone to him. I am so happy for them! The wedding itself was gorgeous...black, red, and peacock feathers everywhere. the bridesmaids wore black dresses with gorgeous peacock feather fans. The grooms men wore black and white converse with their suits. There were peacock feathers at our table along with roses and black candles. It was a masquerade theme so a lot of guests dressed up in fancy masks and ornate costumes. I love non-traditional weddings and theirs was so well done! I'll post some pics later this week once I've edited them :) I'll also have pics from Bebe's playdate with her best buddy Roxy too. I hope you had a great weekend! Leave a comment a let me know what you did!

Happy Monday :)

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
    The boy wants BBBbbbrrRRRaaaaAAaiiiIINnnnnsssSSSssssssss

I wanted to do a extravagant Halloween post but of course I'm sick! UGH :( I didn't wake up this morning until 2:00 pm and I felt horrible. I think I'm getting a respiratory infection because of the weather. It keeps going from freezing to hot over and over again. So I'm staying in tonight and I hope I'll feel well enough to take pictures of Bebe in her costume tomorrow. The boy is going to the party by himself and he wanted to go as a zombie. So he ripped and bloodied up his clothing and I did his make up. He looks so creepy lol. I hope you're all having a wonderful Halloween and eating lots of yummy candy!! Be safe ;) I'm going to shower and drink some hot tea...maybe I can catch a scary movie on tv so my night isn't a complete bust :P

Bebe didn't know what to think of her daddy all dressed up. She would bark at him and them wiggle her butt when he would talk to her. She was confused LOL. Here he is attempting to eat her brains ehehehehehe. She wasn't so sure about the whole thing as she values her brains ;)

Braaaaaiiinnnnsssssssss

Guess Who's Bizzack??

Me of course! If you didn't know I took some time off to just relax and clear my head...sometimes I just get so engulfed in blogging that my mind becomes mashed potatoes and won't work properly...that's when I know it's break time. But it's great to be back and I missed the blogosphere dearly (and truly even).

Untitled-7
I am SO thankful for all my loverly guest bloggers!! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to help me out. It means a lot and I won't forget it. San, My BoyToy, & Tash -- you all rock hardcore super bad! (and yes I just made that up). Unfortunately, my 9/25/09 guest blogger had some unexpected things come up so she couldn't post, but it's all gravy baby ;) I told her she can guest blog whenever she wants to...no worries! Hopefully she'll get to share her awesome stuff with you later on. I hope you all enjoyed having some new perspectives around here. I plan to do this whole guest blogger thing again, so if you'd like to do it, hit me up!

While I was on break, I didn't get a whole lot done but that was kind of the point. I wanted to just chilllllll. I did however manage to come up with a lot of new ideas that I will be sharing soon. I also decide that I will start selling my miniatures in the shop!! HOORAY! I've been baking minicakes and I'm almost ready to start listing them. So for all my mini fans out there be sure to keep checking back this week for pictures of my minis FINALLY! It feels so good to be making miniatures again. I really really REALLY love it and I hope that you'll love what I've been cookin'...

Hmm what else...oh! We went to the park THREE times yesterday lol. The first time we were taking Bebe to Woofstock @ Overton Park. The problem was Bebe is what they call reactive on the leash. She is fine until she sees another dog and she lunges and barks wanting to get to it. It's not aggressive at all, she just wants to play and she gets way too excited and in your face about it. It's really something we need to work on but I haven't had time. (bad mommy bad!) The Boy says  we need to walk around with bits of chicken in a pouch like Victoria Stilwell, hehe. Anyway, we get there and this couple and their Boston Terrier were walking towards us. He was so cute!! But she acted a damn fool lunging, high-pitched barking, and getting all in his face. Can you say embarrassing, uncomfortable, awkward, and anticute? :( They thought she was going to hurt their dog and walked away quickly. She did this to every dog she saw. Needless to say we left a little bit after that. People just don't understand (and rightfully so) that she's just hyper excited on the leash so they think it's aggressive when it's not. She doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body and she loves other dogs.
 Bebe @ the park
Lesson learned: work on leash training BEFORE the event, not at the event lol.

We've got the Showcase of Dogs coming up in October. I am going to work with her so that she won't be such a crackhead on the leash...pray for me, haha.

After that we went to another park and let Bebe have fun there. There was so much to sniff and pee on! The highlight of the adventure is that she barked at a little boy wearing a suit, haha. She doesn't like cute little boys in suits apparently, go figure. She also got to ride the slide with daddy and it was his idea! He never ceases to amaze me with his love for the Beebs!
Bebe's first ride on the slide She liked riding the slide
I think she liked it :)

After that, we were on the way home and friend Darren called and wanted to go to guess where...the park, LOL! We couldn't let him down so we went and picked him up and went back to the same park we just came from. This time we went on the other side by the lake and it's so pretty back there. A few of his friends came with a case of Bud Ice (eewwww) and two beautiful pit bulls and they were SO awesome. The older one was a male and he was so handsome! He was so well-trained too. His recall was great! The younger one, his daughter, was just a goof ball. She was super cute. I enjoyed watching them play. I didn't get any pictures because I didn't really know these kids and I didn't want to come off as awkward snapping pics of their dogs. Hum ho...if we ever hang again I'll try then! Anyway, here are my favorite pics from the 3rd trip to the park lol.

big ass acorns
My most precious find of the day was these big ass acorns. They are about the size of half of my thumb. I LOVE them so much! I plan to go back and get a bunch of them to put in a glass vase for fall decor. I'm so glad Fall is HERE! It's my favorite season so expect lots of posts about leaves changing, yummy fall foodage, and other great stuff!

I hope you're having a happy Monday so far! toodles.

The Cooper-Young Festival 2009

We had a blast at the Cooper-Young Festival! The best part of all is that it didn't rain, woo hoo! Even though we didn't have a booth this year, it was still so much fun to go and eat good food and look at all the awesome handmade stuff out there. There were some amazing artists there!
