More Creative Journaling Inspiration!

I ♥ Pretty Journals!  click each photo for credit ♥

I figured the easiest way to create my first journal would be to break it down into different weekly tasks until it's complete. Normally, I would just get all my materials and go at it but this time I want to plan it out and make it really awesome. Recently I've realized that a part of my creative problem is that I don't plan things out enough. Coming up with ideas is not hard for me, but sometimes I get lost in the execution. Elsie made a comment about how lack of planning can be a big downfall for a lot of people and the light bulb came on in my head! It's funny because I am a big planner in other areas of my life, but when it comes to being creative and my etsy business, I don't think I plan it all out enough. I don't give myself enough time to really think about what I want to do and how I want to execute it properly, you know?

► So here's my time line:
Week 1: Creative Brainstorming & Deciding on a Theme/Feel

Week 2: Gathering Materials & Constructing the Journal

Week 3: Completing the Construction & Begin Writing!

The whole journal is going to take way longer than 3 weeks to complete because I'll be adding things and writing in it over time, but this is just the starting point. I'm going to do journals by season, so this will be my winter journal (even though it's technically still fall) and when spring comes hopefully I'll start a new one and do this whole process over again!

I'm getting started now...I've already started drawing sketches of how I want to journal to look and I've got the color scheme, yay! I'll take the rest of this week to design the layout. I'll share some sketched of my ideas soon. If you want to create your own journal with me, do it! If you've already got a journal going, I'd love to see pics and hear your ideas too :D

Happy Tuesday! ♥

I also need to plan things out better but I get too anxious to get things done sometimes. :)
