Hey yall! I wanted to update you guys on the status of my Etsy shop. Currently I've deactivated all of my mini cakes because I'm getting ready to pack up all my craft supplies for the big move. If you were planning on buying a mini cake for the holiday season, please contact me and I'll see what I can do as I already have certain cakes made. PLEASE be aware that there are no guarantees though. We are doing a gradual move over the course of several days and I don't know when I'll be unpacking my craft supplies so I can't promise anything. I am sorry for any problem this may cause and I hate that I have to move during the holidays :( C'est la vie, right? But the good news is I've printed of plenty of I ♥ Boston Terrier and Bobble the BT stickers and they are still available in my shop, YAY! So if you were planning on buying those for yourself or someone else for Christmas, go for it! ;)
In other news, after MUCH much MUUUUUCCCHH thought, I have decided once and for all to change my business name. (Read about my initial thoughts here. After that post I decided to keep the name, but the feeling of needing to change it just keeps nagging at me!) Sometime in early 2010 (shooting for late Jan/early Feb) I will have a NEW Etsy shop under the new name. I will also have a lot of new products with a slight shift in the focus of my product line. The main reason I want to do this is because I didn't plan LAMC out well at all...it was kind of just something I started on a whim and now that I am to this point, I realize I want to go about things differently.
I want to take time to develop a theme/feel to the business and plan out marketing, logo/packaging, pricing, materials, etc. a little bit better. It's just something that I feel I need to do and I feel in my gut, you know? I hope that you guys will make the transition with me and that it's not too confusing for people, but it's just something I have to do now if I am going to do it. But that's all happening next year so no worries for now :) I just wanted you guys to be aware that positive changes are coming!
I have to run now, I'm supposed to be packing ;) Hope your Wednesday has been grand. Mine has been full of wild dogs and lots of rain :P

Good luck with your move! We have moved around this time of year a few times and it is always an adventure! LOL! I look forward to seeing your new shop, but I am going to miss this name! I love it!
Oh Jess, now you're making it hard lol! I love the name too, just not for my business :P The boy thinks I should keep LAMC as my blog name and just change the etsy shop. So maybe I won't have to give it entirely up. I know most people have the same name for their blog and business, but I've seen some who don't. It's a thought...we'll see :)
