Miniature Love: Let Them Eat Cake!

I am ashamed to say I STILL have not set up my stuff so that I can make some miniature cakes, boo! So I'm posting some older pics to motivate myself AND to share one of my favorite hobbies with my newer readers!

I've been making miniature food since April 2009 and I love it! I love to make cakes but I make other food too every now and then. These are all made by me out of polymer clay. They're 1:12 scale, so each whole cake is around 3/4th an inch in diameter...which is like a penny. Enjoy!

Beautiful cakes. Minis are definitely my thing (and mostly what I blog about) but I haven't tried my hand at polymer clay yet. I am very inspired to do as this moment though!

JaneAlexandra -- There are many tutorials online. I learned the basics and then created my own tricks along the way. I really learned by studying pictures of minis. Once you see them over and over, you can figure out how to make your clay look how you want it to look. I bake mine in toaster oven ;)

Shannon -- I love it when people have never seen them! It reminds me of the first time I saw a miniature cake :D

bb -- DO IT! It's one of my favorite hobbies!!

Thanks yall!
