I Got Some Gorgeous Little Vintage Things!

The boy and I went to the Antique Warehouse and Bojo's Antique Mall today and I found a lot of cute vintage stuff that was reasonably priced, yay! I want to start selling cute vintage items in my shop when I start back up, so I'm trying to pick up stuff that I think people might like. I'm seeing too much stuff that I probably won't part with, lol. (That's the hard part about selling vintage stuff, you want it all for youself!)

This was my find of the day. Like I said, I already found the taller vase version of this planter (which someone tossed by a dumpster, crazy!). I was so happy to see this for a great price!

I hope your Sunday was as full as much wonder as mine! I love going to antique stores and seeing all the vintage stuff :D We found a few potential chairs for the living room and a table for the dining room too! I need to go back and get pictures...we still want to look around but I'm starting to have a good sense of what colors are going to be in each room of the house and what the vibe of each room with be. Exciting!!

Gathering Supplies: Vintage Fabrics? Check!

 I decided to take a semi-break from all the moving stuff so I could do another blog post hee hee. I didn't realize how much I REALLY missed blogging! I spent last night watching Inglorious Bastards (which I need to watch again because I wasn't paying it any attention lol) and finding beautiful vintage fabrics on Etsy. I can't wait to show you what these are going to be used for ;) I want to incorporate a lot more texture in my new projects so you can look forward to lots of posts about yummy fabric, beautiful wool felt and chunky yarn :)

Bojo's (Antique Mall) Here We Come!

It was the most beautiful weekend ever! Not too hot and breezy...in the high 80's. ahhh Fall is coming...

These were really cute but $275! I really want the sugar canister only but you had to buy the set. Anyone know what font that is? I love it :)


I love vitnage ads like this! I'm not sure if these setters still work or not but it would make a lovely display piece esp. at a hair salon.


Vintage Fisher Price Tiny Teddy pull toy from the 50's. When you pull him forward he plays his xylophone. The sound is still excellent! I might go back for this one.


The boy loved this stroller. He said if we have kids he wants them to have a stroller like this.


Hall teapot from the 1920s. I LOVE this. It reminds me of my anthropologie cup/saucer set. I didn't buy it but I should have :P It was in great condition, no chips or anything.


Sweet mixer! It had the cutest bowl with a recipe for chocolate cake on the side...


I don't know if these are Pyrex or not but they were beautiful. I love the graphics...


SUPER KAWAII Baby Says See N Say!!! Too bad it was broken :( Anyone know what year this is from? I'm thinking 80's?

My Bojo's Goodies!

Here's the stuff I ended up buying!

I have been wanting one of these small creamers since I saw them on Three Potato Four. I finally got one and only for $5, yay!

They had another creamer (or pitcher?) that was similar but with thinner ribbing. It's also a little bit bigger than the other one. They're both the same shade of bright red orange.


I am SO happy I found this book! It's from 1946 and it's in great condition! The only flaw is a little tear on the front...other than that it's perfect. Later on this week I'll post pictures of the whole book. The illustrations are GREAT!

I got two of these valentine punch out books. They had a ton of them but a lot of them were water damaged and possibly burnt a little? I got the two best ones. Surprisingly they didn't have much damage at all. I can't wait to make things with the punch outs.


I love this illustration style...it's so whimsical...

I think I'm going to make the boy a valentine's day card from this one next year. (oh even if he reads this, he'll forget by then. haha)

We also went to a local store called Flashback to find some goodies for the giveaway (only two more days, make sure to come back and sign up!) I found some great stuff there too...like these awesome strawberry tumblers. They were made in 1982 and they are brand new, never used. The washing instructions were even still in one of the cups! How crazy is that?

I think going to the thrift shops and antique malls could become addictive LOL! ;)
