Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
Can you believe it's 2010??

I hope you all have had a fabulous holiday season! For me, it's been a whirlwind and it just keeps on going :D My NYE was pretty uneventful but still fun. The boy and I drank cheap champagne and waited for the "fireworks" on Google, lol. He has been under the weather for a few weeks now so he didn't feel like doing much. Really, we are both still so tired from packing, moving, unpacking, arranging, etc. that our holiday season was quite drab. I vow to do it up next year because I just love Christmas & NYE and I didn't get to do it right :(

As far as the house goes, I've decided to give your guys a brief post with pics of the inside next week and then I'll go room by room, in detail showing you how they evolve along the way. We have basic things to do in every room once all that is done, we're going to get into the hardcore decor business. I've never decorated a house before and I'm freaking out a bit a lot but I hope you guys will help me make decisions and tell me to stop freaking out along the way, lol.  I still haven't decided which room I want to start with but I'm thinking it will be my studio (and yes, I'm calling it a studio instead of craft room now because I just like the way it sounds...all fancy like, eh?) since I need to get it functional and beautified :) But anyway, next week pictures of the inside...I PROMISE! I've been trying to get things looking halfway decent for you guys so you don't make too much fun of the organized chaos we have going on right now :P

Now, onto the resolutions! Everyone in the blogosphere is all a buzz about theirs so I might as well join in the fun! Here are some of my goals for 2010:

Get my business in order...literally - I really want the focus for this year to be getting my indie business in order and selling lots of cute stuff! If I can manage to go from full-time to part-time w/ my day job and pick up the slack with my Etsy store, that would truly be a dream come true. I am much more focused and organized now I need to just set aside the time to put everything into action. (If you didn't know, I will be changing my business/blog name and that is coming very very soon. I'm still undecided about how I want to handle the whole thing but I will keep you guys aware of every detail. I LOVE all of yall and I don't want to lose anyone along the way so I hope you'll continue to follow me even with a new name. The new name is really cute and I think you'll like it by the way ;)

Take better care of myself - Physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally...I need to work on me. Enough said ;) I'm drab all the way around and I don't want to be drab anymore dangit!

Work on being more positive, compassionate, & loving - I slacked off in these three areas a lot in 2009. I've let negativity seep into my every day life and I can't stand how it eats away at everything it touches. I am going to work on seeing the brighter side of things and giving my bitter, cynical side a long rest ;) I have always believed that when you are positive, it comes back to you. When I look at all the people I admire most, they are always the positive dreamers...the ones who find magic everywhere they go. I want to be more like them!

Have people over and PARTY! - Now that we have an appropriate space and a gazebo with a built in BBQ grill, it's time to party like rock stars :) I've never been a host and I WANT TO BE THE AWESOME HOST!! Cranberry margaritas anyone???

Fall in love again - Me and the boy have been together for 6 years. We still got a spark but I want FLAMES! I want to go on more dates again. Write silly notes again. Make-out like teenagers again, haha ;) I love him so much and I hate the toll life has taken on parts of our relationship. We're not on the verge of breaking up or anything...we just need to remember how we were the first year and I'm going to work really hard to get that butterfly feeling back again. So just a warning, you're probably going to have to endure a lot of sappy love posts in the near future ;)

There's so much more but those are the main ones. I have a lot of hope for 2010 and I hope it's the most magical year of my life! I wish the same for all of you too :)

Hello 2010!
bye bye little birdies *waving*

the resolutions sound wonderful! I know how you feel about your relationship. I have been w/my hubs for 7 1/2 years and it is hard not to let life get in the way and be more "roommates" than lovers.

Good luck w/everything--I hope the new year brings you all that you wish for!
